Description
On one of many road trips the artist and her husband take back and forth from the southwest to the midwest, the artist snapped a series of pictures of rural homes and farmhouses, often in the dead of night while the inhabitants slept inside. The darkness of the midwestern farm fields stretches out, swallowing the small structures. The ineffectiveness of a flash from the passing window does little to brighten the scene. The artist fills in the absence with her memory of the nights.
